1. Take a warm shower
Warm water helps your scrotum relax, making it easier to feel your testicles and notice any changes.
2. Position your fingers
Gently hold one testicle at a time, using your fingers and thumb.

3. Feel the testicle
Feel the testicle between your finger and thumb. Your testicle should feel oval-shaped and firm, and have a smooth surface. It’s normal for one testicle to feel slightly larger or hang lower than the other.
4. Repeat on the other side
Make sure you check both testicles thoroughly.

5. Check for changes
Check your balls regularly to get familiar with how they feel. This will help you notice any changes to their size or shape, plus things that don’t belong like lumps, pain or swelling.
6. Notice something new?
Talk to your doctor ASAP.

Never forget a check
